In a minimal space area we have the One-Wall-Kitchen, obviously with this layout our kitchen doesn’t seem to comply with the work triangle principles but with careful planning you can position your core work area items to be in close proximity thus satisfying the primary goal of the work triangle and that is efficiency.

Although space is minimal you can do one or two things to create the impression that more space is available, one of these is to choose stylish plain surfaced cabinets with indented handles, ie they don’t stick out, this will give the illusion of having more space in your kitchen.

Don’t Overcrowd your kitchen with wall units.
Strictly speaking its best when its comes to a one wall kitchen to not use wall units as it tends to make the room feel overcrowded, if you do have space for storage below the sink level then use it, if you don’t and have no other option then choose glazed wall units, they will give the effect of being lighter and brighter.
